Stuck in the loop of a horror B-movie, a hyper-sexualized black female character decides to reject her fate and rebel against the script. Alberto Roblest, an award-winning digital artist, writer and educator, is the co-founder of the arts and humanities website, Hola Cultura, and serves as its artistic director and Spanish-language editor. Alberto is the author of Collar de orejas (CreateSpace, 2015); Against the Wall: Stories (Arte Público Press, 2021) and Contra la muralla: cuentos (Arte Público Press, 2022). He lives and works in Washington, DC.

Magdalena Mieri is currently the Director of the Program in Latino History and Culture at the National Museum of American History, Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.

Salym Fayad is a Johannesburg-based documentary photographer, reporter and cultural facilitator.
